My friends and I went to Shiso Tree Cafe for lunch, and it was simply delish.
For around $10 at lunch time, you get a salad, a (cute) mug of soup, and a bowl of pasta. I would also recommend getting a plate of the bolognese fries. Yummers! For dinner, you definitely get a larger plate of pasta but of course, at double the price.
My recommendation would be to get the Smoked Salmon Pasta. I had it before and it’s SO GOOD. They give you an appropriate serving size, and the pasta is al-dente. It’s not watery at all either, so you get a good covering of creamy alfredo sauce on every string of spaghetti. They don’t give you too much sauce that you’re left with half a plate of liquid. But the best part of the pasta was the smoked salmon. The smokiness was there and because the meat wasn’t fully cooked, the fish doesn’t fall apart. Overall, the Smoked Salmon Pasta shows what a fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine can do.
