Beauty and Food Hacks for Crystallized Honey

Do you have that jar of honey that has just completely crystallized? Not to mention that no one has bothered to do anything about it? Instead of wasting it, here are some things that you can do with it.

1. Β A hydrating and exfoliating face mask

People love using honey as an antibacterial, hydrating face mask. You don’t have to buy a new jar of honey to make one. What you can do is blend a good sized amount of crystallized honey with warm/ hot water to cut down its grittiness. Then store it in small jar so you can keep it on your bathroom counter. The watery texture makes the honey easier to apply to the face, and the fine grittiness works as a good exfoliator.

Tip: Don’t put too little honey as it will just sink below the blades.

2. Lip Scrub

You can also use the above method to make a delicious lip scrub!
3. Smoothies

If you’re using a smoothie blender, you can use the leftover honey residue from earlier to lightly sweeten your smoothie. Yum!

4. Tea

If you’re too lazy to blend the honey, you can always use its crystallized form to sweeten a hot cup of tea. πŸ™‚ I love adding honey to green tea (no milk/cream added). Yummers!

  1. Great post! Thanks for sharing! I didn’t know you could use honey in so many different ways. I didn’t know about it crystalizing either lol. πŸ™‚

      1. You’re welcome! That is so interesting! Though I actually don’t have any honey here at home. I need to get some because there are so many great uses for it! πŸ™‚

  2. I’ve read some people suggest using honey and water mix as eye drops to whiten the eyes… I’ve tried this and it stung so so bad! After that I never really used it for anything else haha
